Eviction Management and Relocation Assistance
The CPS Eviction Team is well versed in the complexities of federal and state laws protecting occupant’s rights and helps maintain compliance with the Protecting Tenants at Foreclosure Act (PTFA), the Service Members Civil Relief Act (SCRA) and other relevant legislation. To reduce holding times and eviction costs, CPS Asset Management tasks the assigned agent or local property manager to contact the occupant of the property and negotiate possession of the property by offering relocation assistance.
Once the approved amount for relocation assistance is documented in the system of record, the assigned agent ensures that all required documentation is signed (including move out terms and conditions) coordinating with CPS for the disbursement of relocation assistance funds.
If the agent determines a property is ‘Occupied with Tenant,’ a CPS eviction specialist will review the asset for potential transfer to Carrington’s Property Management Group for management of the tenant occupied asset, as well as rent collection.
